At Your Voice Your Choice we promote independence and want to give all of the members the chance to learn a new skill. Some of the new skills learnt are gardening, cooking, sewing, furniture painting, drilling, sanding using a hand and electric sander, creating things from wood, up-cycling, jewellery and candle making.
We have a number of mini businesses including:
- Gardening – growing vegetables and putting together hanging baskets
- ABP – we have a contract creating a garden at the Garston docks for employees to enjoy
- Sweet shop
- Up-cycling – turning old furniture into new
- Crafting – creating cards, candles and soft furnishings
